The eScience center Research Support Team is responsible for the installation and maintenance of scientific software applications on the national HPC infrastructures hosted at SDU. These include the type 1 – interactive HPC (UCloud) and the type 3 – large memory HPC systems.
Installation of new software/apps
We provide assistance in the implementation of both traditional batch type HPC applications and interactive tools with graphical user interfaces, which are deployed in a virtual desktop environment.
Development of new software/apps
We support researchers by designing new applications as well as providing assistance in design-oriented programming, code testing, code review and bug fixing.
Optimization of code and applications
We give assistance in:
- Selecting and optimizing appropriate algorithms and software.
- Code parallelization, platform porting and pipeline/workflow optimization, including moving established workflows from one HPC system to another.
