HALRIC has already supported over 50 Life Science projects across the Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak (ÖKS)-Hamburg region, helping researchers and innovators bring ambitious ideas to life. SDU, via the eScience Center, is a HALRIC partner and SDU researchers are therefore eligible to apply for HALRIC projects.

Beyond funding, HALRIC opens the door to:

  • Unique access to advanced research infrastructures offering cutting-edge techniques like mass spectrometry, spatial proteomics, cryo-EM, and more.
  • Expert support for everything from sample prep to data analysis
  • Cross-border collaboration that connects academia, hospitals, and industry

You can browse previously approved HALRIC projects here at halric.eu.

How to apply?

HALRIC welcomes applications from life science projects that use at least one research infrastructure.

Most pilot projects run for 6 months, with typical support of €80,000 total (≈ €30,000 reimbursed). Projects with different durations or budgets are also welcome.

📅 Next application deadline: 2 June 2025
