It-vest and DIGHUMLAB invite you to a conference about digital models in humanities.

Humanities has always existed in the interplay between the descriptive and the prescriptive. This interplay becomes even more pertinent with the growing popularity of digital models in humanities. Some researchers adopt computational techniques to create digital models of socio-cultural and historical phenomena, while other researchers point to the necessity of assessing the aims and assumptions of computational techniques to (re-)formulate digital models for understanding socio-cultural and historical phenomena. In this conference, leading researchers will discuss the role of digital models in the humanities and its consequences for applications of computational techniques in humanities research.

The conference will take place on Monday, October 3rd, 2022, at H.C. Andersen Hotel in Odense.
