All services provided by the SDU eScience Center are covered by our ISO 27001 certification.
ISO 27001 is an international standard for information security. Among other things, ISO 27001 enforces requirements for risk management, documentation of processes, and the distribution of roles and responsibilities for information security. The certification demonstrates that the software and hardware infrastructures used at the eScience Center are secure, and that the workflows around these services meet the required high-quality standards.
In order to maintain an ISO 27001 certification, annual audits from external auditors are required. At the SDU eScience Center, we use external auditors from Bureau Veritas.
The SDU eScience Center was the first DeiC High Performance Computing center to obtain the ISO 27001 certification in 2020. Since then, we have signed Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with most Danish universities, several Danish Regions, and other public organizations. The DPAs allow external users and collaborators to use the SDU eScience Center’s services to store, analyse, or communicate personal information in compliance with GDPR regulations.
