Overview of the eScience Center – New and Existing Employees <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The eScience Center, which is run by Professor Claudio Pica, has been expanding throughout 2018 until now and here is a current overview of the eScience Center staff and their functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Brian Alberg:<\/strong> I am a software architect with a master’s degree in computer science. My primary focus area is on the back-end development of the SDUCloud platform <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Bj\u00f8rn H\u00f8j Jakobsen:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Basically, I am trying to support the team by “filling in the blanks” \u2013 one of my major tasks at the moment is to secure the ISO-27001 certification process for the eScience Center.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Dan Sebastian Trane:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I am a fullstack developer, with a master’s degree in computer science, working on building cloud-based infrastructure for researchers. I specialize in microservices, Kotlin, and Kubernetes.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Desir\u00e9e Suhr P\u00e9rez:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I support Claudio Pica and the eScience team. My tasks are multifaceted and require a great deal of collaboration and high-performance skills. I also work independently solving specialized tasks. My key functions are working with the branding, the upkeep of our internal eScience Center website, project management, finances, funding, logistics, marketing, quality assurance, compliance and several administrative tasks.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Emiliano Molinaro: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I provide collaborative support to develop quantitative tools for advanced research. My tasks include: data set processes for data modelling, mining and production; use of sophisticated analytics programs, machine learning and statistical methods for data analysis; integrating high performance computing with data science. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Federica Lo Verso:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I provide collaborative support of advanced research in terms of use and development of high-level computational and analytics tools, modelling, provision of services and expertise in the areas of High Performance Computing, e-science, frontend web development.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Henrik Schulz: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I am a software architect with a master\u2019s degree in computer science from the University of Southern Denmark. My primary focus is on the back-end part of the SDUCloud platform. Also, I provide part of the outreach program for Abacus2.0 and the eScience Center in general.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Jonas Malte Hinchely:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n I am a software architect with a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Southern Denmark. My primary focus is on the front-end part of the SDUCloud platform.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Martin Rasmus Lundquist Hansen: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I am working as an infrastructure developer and my daily tasks revolve around maintenance, configuration and securement of our servers and internal network. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Tobias Velds Volfing:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I am an infrastructure developer with a background in developing and maintaining infrastructure for Linux workstations (file-servers, directory-servers etc.), as well as end-user support for Linux systems. I have 14 years of experience with using Debian based Linux distributions, and a couple of years of solid experience with Red Hat based distributions.
