In early 2021, one of the world’s most powerful supercomputers for research, LUMI (Large Unified Modern Infrastructure), will be launched in CSC’s data center in Finland. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
You can read more about the LUMI consortium on the following link: https:\/\/datacenter.csc.fi\/wp\/collaboration\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n LUMI (“LUMI” also means “snowflake” in Finnish) is a consortium of nine countries, including Denmark, which is currently working on high pressure to finalize the project with a view to giving the research in Europe a digital quality boost. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The new LUMI website is online at www.lumi-supercomputer.eu<\/a>, please check the website for latest information about LUMI.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n The European High-Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) is pooling European resources to develop top-of-the-range exascale supercomputers for processing big data, based on competitive European technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n One of the pan-European pre-exascale supercomputers, LUMI, will be located in CSC\u2019s data center in Kajaani, Finland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The supercomputer will be hosted by the LUMI consortium<\/a>.
