The\u00a0Danish Foundation Models (DFM)\u00a0project has significantly bolstered its AI research capabilities with the arrival of\u00a0eight\u00a0of NVIDIA\u2019s latest\u00a0B200 GPUs\u00a0at University of Southern Denmark. They are now integrated into the highly popular\u00a0UCloud\u00a0platform.
The B200 GPUs, part of NVIDIA\u2019s\u00a0Blackwell architecture, are among the most powerful AI accelerators available, offering substantial improvements in\u00a0performance and\u00a0energy efficiency over the previous H100 GPU. They are the latest and most powerful GPUs from NVIDIA and in high demand by some of the world\u2019s leading tech companies.
Nevertheless, the SDU eScience Center managed to secure the B200 server for the DFM project via an excellent offer from Supermicro and Indes. Their integration into SDU\u2019s\u00a0high-performance computing infrastructure and UCloud will enable researchers to train and fine-tune\u00a0Danish foundation models\u00a0with unprecedented\u00a0speed and scale.
