These include the type 1 &#8211; interactive HPC (UCloud) and the type 3 &#8211; large memory HPC systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Installation of new software\/apps<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We provide assistance in the implementation of both traditional batch type HPC applications and interactive tools with graphical user interfaces, which are deployed in a virtual desktop environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Development of new software\/apps<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We support researchers by designing new applications as well as providing  assistance in design-oriented programming, code testing, code review and bug fixing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Optimization of code and applications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We give assistance in: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Selecting and optimizing appropriate algorithms and software.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Code parallelization, platform porting and pipeline\/workflow optimization, including moving established workflows from one HPC system to another.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Submit your request via our service desk if you need our help to deploy your software tools:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-outline\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-vivid-red-color has-white-background-color has-text-color has-background no-border-radius\" href=\"https:\/\/support.escience.sdu.dk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Service desk<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The eScience center Research Support Team is responsible for the installation and maintenance of scientific software applications on the national HPC infrastructures hosted at SDU.
