UCloud, the platform that powers the DeiC Interactive HPC service, has achieved another remarkable feat: it now has more than 9000 users!
The graph below shows the number of users on UCloud from March 2022 to February 2024. It clearly demonstrates the rapid and steady growth of the user base, which has tripled in just two years.
The DeiC Interactive HPC service has been praised by many researchers of various fields who use it for their projects and courses (see for example the inspiring use cases recorded at last year’s DeiC conference here). It has also been recognized as one of the most innovative and successful HPC services in Europe, despite being a relatively small infrastructure.
UCloud is a remarkable example of how interactive HPC can democratize and revolutionize scientific computing in the national research ecosystem. It is also a testament to the successful collaboration and innovation of the consortium of universities that develop and maintain the DeiC Interactive HPC service.
