Almere, 2019-07-26 – The EuroHPC grants will only cover 50% of a project proposals budget. Each partner in an accepted project proposal must pay the othe 50% from other sources. The general idea is the countries’ national research and development programma’s cover this. For the calls that opened yesterday, about half of the participating EuroHPC countries already know if the will make money available, and whether that amount has a maximum or not. Yes, it is complicated. About half of the countries do not know yet. This makes it very difficult for organisations to start working in an international consortium on preparing proposals as the first call already closes in November.

Luxembourg, 2019-07-25 – The EuroHPC JU calls for proposals opened today July 25, 2019. The first “Call – Towards Extreme Scale Technologies and Applications” will have a budget of 55 million euro and close on January 14, 2010. The second “Call – Innovating and Widening the HPC use and skills base” will have a budget of 40 million euro and close on November 14, 2019.
