On Monday, December 4th, we are performing a major upgrade to UCloud’s infrastructure. This means that the system will be down for most of the day.
The upgrade includes i.a. an update to our WekaFS storage system, which means that all compute nodes must be shut down. It is thus necessary to stop all user jobs that use the “DeiC Interactive HPC (SDU)” provider, which will happen early in the morning.
At the same time, the UCloud/Core software stack will be moved to SDU’s new Kubernetes cluster, so that the old cluster can be shut down. In connection with the move of UCloud/Core, there will also be an update of the software itself, which will improves performance when browsing different catalogs (e.g. apps and the list of jobs).
